Sailing Associates has been family owned and operated since 1964. Patrick and Patty Grieb have successfully run SAI through the ups and downs in the industry for decades and aspired to create the quiet, tranquil, utopian marina for which to both enjoy and entertain generations of boaters. 

In March of 2023 Patrick stepped down as General Manager, handing the reigns over to his son, Andrew. "Andy," as he's known around the marina, has been an active member of the community and marina since he could push a mower at 8 years old. He left to attend Washington College, attend and become factory-trained in diesel engines, ABYC-trained in marine electrical systems, and trained in rigging and marine electronic installations. He advanced his way through the SAI business from 2007 until 2023, successfully becoming service manager and assistant general manager. When his father stepped down, the transition was natural and seamless for Andy and the SAI community. 

Today, Andy and Brooke strive to take his parents' vision and further expand and nurture it. Most days Brooke can be found in the office diligently working away while Andy is either in the shop, on the docks, or occasionally, back behind his mower. Their lab, Sailor Moon ("Sailor"), can be found diligently herding the ducks and geese off the grass and back into the river!
